Poppy and Pint
Poppy and Pint presents a warm and welcoming atmosphere just a stone’s throw away from Nottingham’s city centre, with disabled access allowing you to put on events for guests with specific mobility requirements.
Delegates can reach Poppy and Pint with a regular city transport service or use the onsite car park which is available for guests. If you’re travelling from outside of Nottingham, the Poppy and Pint can be easily reached from Nottingham Station through a collection of bus and taxi services.
The venue offers four distinct areas, with two of these being available for private hire. Both the dining room and function room can be booked for private conferences and events.
The dining room can hold up to 25 delegates boardroom style or 50 delegates theatre style and offers the perfect space for corporate meetings, dinners, and work parties. Whilst the function room can hold up 40 delegates boardroom style, 90 dinner style, 140 theatre and 150 reception making it the ideal space for networking events, conferences, and celebrations. This room is extremely versatile and can be tailored to meet your needs and requirements.
If you’re looking for a smaller, more open space both the café and traditional bars are also available to delegates to spend time in during their event where locally sourced dishes are available all inspired by French Bistro cuisine.
Canalhouse
Based in the city of Nottingham along the tranquil setting of the canal, Canalhouse is a short walk from Nottingham Train Station and provides onsite parking for guests. It’s also conveniently located for bus transport.
The versatile event space can accommodate up to 180 delegates for a reception style event making this a popular beer garden venue an ideal option for company away days, celebrations, and product launches.
With a rustic design of exposed brick work, wooden beams and large factory windows, this unique venue gives delegates the opportunity to tailor the design of their event to a colour or brand scheme of their choice.
When it comes to the food and drinks available, this ‘Discover World Beers’ venue is a hub for craft beer drinkers with over 200 beers available from around the globe. If wine and spirits are more to your taste, Canalhouse offers a varied menu of carefully selected wines, spirits, and traditional cider as well as locally sourced coffee.
The Embankment
This Grade II listed venue is renowned for being one of Albert Nelson Bromley’s designs, the architect behind one of the most distinctive Boots Pharmacy buildings; The Embankment building originally opened in 1907 as ‘Boots Store 2’.
With four meeting rooms accommodating up to 100 delegates theatre style, the venue can host all types of events including presentations and company celebrations.
If you’re looking for something larger, the Lord Trent Room can accommodate up to 140 delegates reception style, making it ideal for conferences and Christmas parties; alternatively, the Jesse Boot room, named after the founder of Boots Pharmacy, can facilitate events for up to 48 guests’ theatre style, making it a great space for team lunches and business meetings.
Transport to the venue is easy, with 55 onsite parking spaces for guests, a number of bus routes running past the venue and a short distance from Nottingham Train Station making it an option for events that have guests travelling from outside of Nottingham.
