What made you book Holiday Inn Nottingham?
When it came to booking a company away day, I knew that Nottingham had to be top of our list. We needed somewhere that was easy to get to as we had delegates travelling from around the UK. The Holiday Inn Nottingham checked all boxes here, with those not driving being able to arrive at the nearby Nottingham Train Station, jump on the tram or access the city’s award winning bus network.
My decision was further impacted by their recent refurbishment and decided the Holiday Inn Nottingham was a venue that met all our requirements.
The on-site parking for our guests was ideal. As someone who understands that pre-arrival anxiety of either where to park or how easy the car park is to navigate, it was great to have clear signage and plenty of spaces for our delegates to use”.
How easy was the booking process?
“The booking process via Meet in Nottingham, was stress free and made selecting the right venue easy, as the team took both our budget and requirements into account and made sure the venue knew our itinerary for the event.
It was great also to have access to Meet in Nottingham’s free professional service and to work with a team who clearly knew the area inside and out as it meant I could confidently follow their recommendations and secure a space which worked perfectly for our delegates”.
Were you impressed by the Holiday Inn Nottingham?
“Absolutely! Upon arrival into the reception area, we were greeted by an inviting and colourful space. The hot desking area was great for our delegates who needed to work pre or post conference and the onsite Starbucks café was an added treat for coffee lovers.
The Marina Suite, Holiday Inn’s newest conference space, was where our event took place, with beautifully dressed tables, natural daylight and first class AV equipment. It was great to have access to the large screen ensuring all our delegates could easily view the conference presentations.
The food and drink options were great too, with the restaurant putting on a delicious feast for our attendees including a selection of sandwiches, Thai green curry, loaded nachos, a variety of pizza options, and desserts to enjoy whilst ensuring all the dietary requirements were catered for.
When it came to us having a break time, the team provided treats and snacks such as pastries, cakes, biscuits, coffee and tea for us to enjoy”.
What additional features did the venue have?
“The onsite gym was a great offer as it provided many of the event delegates with the opportunity to either finish the day or start their next morning with a health first approach and revitalisation.
Alongside the main car park, the hotel offered a number of EV charging facilities providing peace of mind to guests with electric cars that they’d have access to this service and be ready for departure.
The incredible views were also referenced in a lot of the feedback, guests said that being able to see the iconic Nottingham Castle made their stay all the more special and the scenic views of the marina provided a sense of tranquillity”.
