Meet in Nottingham, part of Marketing Nottingham and Nottinghamshire and the official convention bureau for the region, is proud to announce its participation in The Meetings Show 2024 on 19th & 20th June at the Excel London.
This exhibition presents a prime opportunity to highlight Nottingham and Nottinghamshire to event buyers and decision makers looking for the right location for their next conference or event. The Meetings Show, renowned as the UK’s premier exhibition for the MICE community (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions), attracts annually over 5,000 industry professionals.
VisitBritain’s research identifies the average spend by domestic event delegates is £950 per event per delegate and for the international delegates it’s £2,229 with an average conference bringing together between 100-500 delegates per event to the host city. The value of those national and international events can bring millions of pounds to the local economy (to event venues, hotels, restaurants, bars, attractions etc.) improving the quality of life for local people and helping the region’s economy grow and prosper.
At this year’s exhibition, Meet in Nottingham will showcase a wide variety of event venues and conference facilities across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. Joining Meet in Nottingham on the exhibition stand will be teams from prominent venues such as the Trent Conference Centre, The Island Quarter (Cleaver & Wake and Binks Yard), NTU Events and Conferencing, Nottingham Venues, National Ice Centre & Motorpoint Arena Nottingham and Nottinghamshire County Council who will be showcasing their key county-based venues. This collaborative effort across both city and county highlights the strength and diversity of Nottinghamshire’s events and conference ecosystem, offering event organisers comprehensive event solutions and support services.
By joining the Meetings Show 2024, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire will be put on the map and join other key UK cities, such as Newcastle, Bristol and Bath, Manchester, Liverpool, Brighton and Leeds to name just a few locations.
