Hear from the experts: Trent Conference Centre

As part of Meet in Nottingham’s ‘Hear from the experts’ blog series, we recently sat down with Anne-marie, senior events supervisor at Trent Conference Centre, to find out about her role, the spaces available at the venue, and the importance of looking out for the environment in the event industry.

Tell us about your role at Trent Conference Centre

I work on every aspect of bringing events to life. From initial client meetings to the final touches. It’s not just about planning; it’s about creating unforgettable experiences for our clients and their guests. Being part of a team that pulls together to make a range of bespoke events happen is incredibly rewarding’.

What space do you offer?

‘Our auditorium boasts an impressive 10,000 square feet of space, providing ample room to host up to 1000 guests in a theatre-style arrangement or 500 guests in a cabaret layout. We also have a second auditorium, and a range of large, medium, and small rooms that are completely flexible for whatever your event needs’.

What are your sustainability benefits?

‘80% of our waste gets recycled, and the rest is turned into energy. Plus, all our electricity comes from renewable sources, supported by our installation of solar panels since 2009, aligning with our net-positive goal. We are also fortunate enough to have a wide range of sustainable travel networks around us, meaning delegates can travel to their conference or event in eco – friendly ways’.

Is it an easily accessible venue?

‘Absolutely! We’re extremely easy to reach from a wide network of transport links. If you are staying in the city, then there are a number of bus services which run through the area, as well as the venue being on the tram route which is another option for travel. We have an onsite car park for those who may be driving to their event here, which delegates are able to make use of. For any delegates who may be travelling from outside of the city, we would recommend arriving by train into Nottingham station and boarding one of the trams located conveniently above the platforms’. Trent Conference Centre offer a wide range of conference and event space for corporate bookings. Visit our website, send us an email at conferences@visit-nottinghamshire.co.uk, or call us on 0115 962 8320 to book your next conference or event.
